Style 520 is manufactured from Dupont Kevlar fibers. These fibers have steel like strength which allows the packing to be used in high pressure applications and make this one of our most abrasion resistant packing. The packing is impregnated with PTFE suspension and then re-impregnated with an additional uniform PTFE coating and special break in lubricant. The result is a dense, conformable packing with low friction characteristics that has extended service life and minimizes wear of shaft Sleeves.
